Well Well Well! Quel style with which we saw in ze New Year! Despite being ze last weekend before everyone gets paid, ze 'ardcore were at Pompette, drinking, eating, laughing and singing...

We started ze night wiv surrealism, in true Pompette fashion! 'Le Corbeau' told of 'is existential crisis; stuck between impressions of a dog, elephant and a garden pea (you 'ad to be zer)...

Ze wonderfool Anna Lu regaled us wiv songs from Montmartre and vented some of 'er man trouble...

Ze fabulous Jon Davison returned wiv 'is very long bras, to ze delight of ze audience...

Well well well! We 'ad une soirée exceptionelle, wiv a full 'ouse of wonderfool guests. Christmas waz in ze air and so was ze smell of Camembert!

Les decorations added some extra magie!

Once again we played a tense and competitive round of loto. Zer were 'ighs and lows but in ze end...

Ze myserious Monsieur 'Oui' wiv ze famed Grand Prix...Le mug Soirée Pompette!!

We ended ze night wiv ze most beautiful artiste of all...Le Publique, who waved 'adieu' to 2011 wiv Piaf's 'Je ne regrette rien'

Merci to everyone 'ho came last vendredi. It was incroyable to think zat it 'as been une année since we started les Soirées Pompette. 'ho wood 'ave thought zat a French cabaret wood find such success in Londres! Merci to all ze wonderfool people 'ho have been fundamental to it's success....

We started our party wiv' Julia, ze belly dancer. She danced on tables and 'ad people shaking zer derrieres wiv 'er! Manifique!

We continued with anozer surrealist performance by Olga 'hoo prepared a coq au vin live on stage!

Jaques Brel was ze audio garnish for zis performance...

Bring in ze Clowns!

Jon Davison returned for more wonderfool Clown! We 'av become big fans of Monsieur Davison and 'is colapsing chaise...Encore!

And La Diva! It waz obligatoire zat ze first EVER performer at Soirée Pompette waz zer at ze anniversaire!

Le Magicien Guillaume Pigé 'ad everyone saying 'Oooh la la!' wiv 'is disappearing balls.

Merci to everywon 'oo came down and enjoyed un verre de vin. Ze air waz thick wiv ze smell of Camembert and ze sound of keystage 2 French. What more can yoo wish for?

Anozer exciting development waz our new friendship wiv Emilondon 'oo wrote a lovely review of ze night and 'oo will be working wiv us via The Art FabriC to promote French cultural events in Londres.

What anozer wonderfool night! Bravo to all zose 'oo came out in ze 'orrible wezer for Soirée Pompette. But what a treat zey 'ad in store. We revisited ze invention of ze Cancan as well as welcoming back ze Diva de la Guitarre!

Zer was mind boogling magique from Guillaume Pigé

as well as acrobatie and spagettti!

We also celebrated ze birfday of Lily Zazou 'oo brot along 'er jazz band....

Once again ze game of Loto was very dramatique but ze winners of ze grand prix were very 'appy.

Well well well. What a super fan night wee 'ad! Zis monf we enjoyed new performances from Jon Davison 'oo danced wiv three legs, yes! Un, deux, trois!

And a second act with very long arms!

Elodie Marques de Olivera mesmarized wiv her Bolas act.

Georges, 'oo 'as performed before az a scuba diver and a fawn, waz zis time a femme trés fatale...

And Robert Blackwood 'ad us all singing along to Brel, with very well chosen song lyrics!

We of corse played loto and 3 lucky people walked away wiv dream prizes. Thank you to everywan 'oo came, as usual we 'ad a wonderfool crowd, fantastique ambiance and many many laughs! Encore!

We 'ad a lot of fun yet again! Wiv new acts and returning audience members we ran out of champagne! Quelle horreur! We made some friends wiv ze Fratellis brovers, Garance Louis amazed wiv 'er accordion and La Fée Twinkle 'ad everyone doing pipi in zer cullotes wiv 'er 'ilarious chat show and showbiz assistant Monsieur Croc.

Finally Lucy Requier gave us a silent movie wiv sous-titres and of course we played lotto wiv people going home wiv camenbert, free drinks and ze coverted Soirée Pompette mug!

We even 'ad the pleasure of welcoming a team from French Radio London 'oo are doing a reportage, so watch zis spaces for zat recording!

Ello my loves. It az taken a little while too post ze photos from ze last Pompette, but merde! It iz Christmas! I 'ad so little time!

It waz a fabulous evening, ze best yet in fact! We 'ad several companies celebrating Christmas wiv us, including Big Wheel Theatre Compagnie who were in great spirits as always. Merci les amies.

Az always we had some great acts including ze wonderful Guillaume Pigé,

Lucy Requier, Olga and even Papa Noël 'imself! Incroyable!

Salut mes petits choux et chouquettes! Wellcom to ze blog for ze Soirées Pompette! Oui!

Ze first nite waz le 15 Octobre and we 'ad a lot of fun. We 'ad performances from Camilla Mathias 'oo looked like a yong, sobre Piaf; Tricity Vogue 'oo gave us a fantastiquely rood song wiv karaoke; George Little took us scuba diving; Gaidig retold Little Red Riding 'Ood and Napoleon gave us a finale not to be forgotten!

Ze crowd waz very amusant wiz lots of French, red cheeks and gesticulations. Bravo! We played lotto or 'bingo' and zis waz very magical az we 'ad only 70 balls for a 90 ball game. Ooh la la! Everyone 'ad 'ad enof vin rouge too find zis very fanny and we gave zem camembert az apologie.

We sang Joyeux Anniversaire to someone in ze crowd and zer waz party poppers for everyone at ze end; an ambiance trés gay!

We look forward to ze next Soiréeon ze 12 Novembre we will 'av Camilla back, poetry, magique and a reverse stripteaze! A bientot!
