Zis month saw the return of some golden oldees and ze arrivel of some fraîche new talent!

We kicked off wiv ze glamoureuse Julia 'hoo dazzled us wiv 'er danse oriental...

Just imagine 'Aïcha'  playing in ze background!

Zen welcomed home Camilla Mathias who incorperated tap danse into 'er multi-lingual performance!

Next was a new comer to the Pompette familly.. Monsieur Tom Devoe...Spoon Bender extraordinaire!

Miss Anna Lou was our ''Belle Epoque in 'ot Pants'' act...

While Lucy Requier delivered a sketch that was voted on by the publique! 

Finally, ze talanted Monsieur Guillaume Pigé gave us a very cheeky card trick which 'ad ze young mademoiselles in ze audience going wild!

Biensûr we played bingo and zis months winner waz ze very lucky Kathryn!

Bravo!

Well we 'ad an exceptional Soirée. France Television sent zer cameras as part of a programme 'Des Racines et des Ailes' which was looking into French culture in London!  We also 'ad journalists from ze bilingual blog Be a Londoner and they wrote a lovely piece which needs no further introduction!  Read it 'ere!

Ai Ai Ai! Quelle ambiance, quelle soirée!

For Those 'hoo missed it, Soirée Pompette was on fire last night!  We started wiv Belly Danse and ended wv une 'Danse de la Mort'...in between we enjoied musique, three-legged performance, and of course LOTO!

Champagne flowed and we look forward to next week when we 'ave a very special Soirée Pompette, filmed by France 3 television!!!

Le 20 Janvier

Well Well Well! Quel style with which we saw in ze New Year!  Despite being ze last weekend before everyone gets paid, ze 'ardcore were at Pompette, drinking, eating, laughing and singing...

We started ze night wiv surrealism, in true Pompette fashion!  'Le Corbeau' told of 'is existential crisis; stuck between impressions of a dog, elephant and a garden pea (you 'ad to be zer)...

 Ze wonderfool Anna Lu regaled us wiv songs from Montmartre and vented some of 'er man trouble...

Ze fabulous Jon Davison returned wiv 'is very long bras, to ze delight of ze audience...

And zen zer waz LOTO...

Noël, Noël, Noël!

Well well well! We 'ad une soirée exceptionelle, wiv a full 'ouse of wonderfool guests.  Christmas waz in ze air and so was ze smell of Camembert!

Les decorations added some extra magie!

Once again we played a tense and competitive round of loto. Zer were 'ighs and lows but in ze end...

Ze myserious Monsieur 'Oui' wiv ze famed Grand Prix...Le mug Soirée Pompette!!

We ended ze night wiv ze most beautiful artiste of all...Le Publique, who waved 'adieu' to 2011 wiv Piaf's 'Je ne regrette rien'

Anniversaire!

Merci to everyone 'ho came last vendredi. It was incroyable to think zat it 'as been une année since we started les Soirées Pompette. 'ho wood 'ave thought zat a French cabaret wood find such success in Londres! Merci to all ze wonderfool people 'ho have been fundamental to it's success....

We started our party wiv' Julia, ze belly dancer. She danced on tables and 'ad people shaking zer derrieres wiv 'er! Manifique!

We continued with anozer surrealist performance by Olga 'hoo prepared a coq au vin live on stage!

Jaques Brel was ze audio garnish for zis performance...

Bring in ze Clowns!

Jon Davison returned for more wonderfool Clown! We 'av become big fans of Monsieur Davison and 'is colapsing chaise...Encore!

And La Diva! It waz obligatoire zat ze first EVER performer at Soirée Pompette waz zer at ze anniversaire!

Le Magicien Guillaume Pigé 'ad everyone saying 'Oooh la la!' wiv 'is disappearing balls.

Well well well! After being worried zat Pompette would be empty in August we 'ad one of our best nights yet!

Sacré ambiance!

Merci to everywon 'oo came down and enjoyed un verre de vin.  Ze air waz thick wiv ze smell of Camembert and ze sound of keystage 2 French. What more can yoo wish for?

Anozer exciting development waz our new friendship wiv Emilondon 'oo wrote a lovely review of ze night and 'oo will be working wiv us via The Art FabriC to promote French cultural events in Londres.
